As the name suggests, a solar phone charger harnesses the power of the sun (a.k.a solar power) to supply electricity to your gadgets or charge the battery. The advantage of these portable gadgets is that they don't need an external electrical energy source to work, making them terrific for outside enthusiasts or individuals who lots of not have access to a power outlet immediately (like if you're at a music festival in the middle of the desert or midway through a beautiful hike).

At the Great House Cleaning Institute, we test tech items from waterproof speakers to gas leakage detectors. To test solar charges, we take them to our standard light space and time how long it takes to totally charge each system. Then, we see how long it requires to charge various devices over 400 hours of battery draining over our newest testing.
